As a Politics Officer at WCP, you'll get to work with a team of empowering individuals whilst bridging the gap between your skills and the professional world.

Your responsibilities as a Politics Officer at WCP will include:

1. Seeking out new connections and maintaining existing partnerships with professionals within the Politics field

2. Drafting proposals for sponsorship relations

3. Communicating with key stakeholders

4. Attending and actively participating in committee meetings as required

5. Working closely with the VP of Politics and other divisions of the committee to communicate and promote upcoming events  

6. Providing timely and interesting advance information for club events, Woman of the Week (WoW), publications, social media, and mailings

7. Ensuring strong leadership succession by identifying and recruiting new club volunteers



 
Our ideal candidate would have:

  • Past experience in partnership management preferred

  • Exemplary communication skills (verbal and written)

  • A high level of professionalism, commitment and self-discipline

  • A strong work ethic

​

  • A superior understanding of the WCP values

​

  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

​

  • The ability to work independently and in teams

​

  • An outstanding ability to keep up to date with opportunities for the club via email

​

  • Sufficient knowledge and ideas in how the club can cater to its politics side via events, Oppose the Motion publications and Woman of the Week interviews

Estimated time commitment:
